There, “Queen of Bermuda” and drag legend Sybil Barrington will hold court to bring Pride week to a close. “Sunday, August 27th will see Pride celebrations wrap up with a special Pride Worship service at Wesley Methodist Church in Hamilton, 11am until 12pm, before Drag Brunch gets into full swing at The Loren at Pink Beach. For adults, a glow-themed Night Party will take place from 10pm until the early hours at Pier 6, where one and all can let their hair down. The family-friendly event will see entertainers from all quarters of the community come together in celebration. This celebration of love and equality will come together during the Pride Parade through the streets of Hamilton, 10am until 11am. “The peak of the week’s events will be the traditional Party in the Park in Victoria Park on Saturday, August 26th from 9am until 3pm. The award will be presented on Friday, August 25th at Pride Prom, a first-of-its-kind evening of celebration, hosted by longtime OUTBermuda supporter and sponsor the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club. “For the first time, Bermuda Pride will include the presentation of an OUTBermuda Icon Award, recognising a trailblazing local LGBTQ+ activist or organisation who has helped pave the way for a more equal, inclusive Bermuda for all. “Thursday night will see the artistic community come together for an Open Mic & Artist Talk event hosted by Masterworks, from 6:30pm until 9:00pm. There, attendees will be able to enjoy fresh tunes and Pride-themed cocktails from Mixyz.
